Today, today, less than 5 days left

Today, my old band (I'm no longer a part of it) released their first single on Itunes, and the music video (which I'm in) was posted to youtube. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-yFPj1cKpFY But that is bitter sweet, I love those guys and playing with them was amazing. I wish them and the band all the best and maybe we can tour together once both our bands get famous. But I do remember that being in that band was causing me stress and anxiety; and it wasn't a healthy environment for me. But still, all the best for The Weekend Forecast.

Gah! It's less than 5 days until I leave for South Africa! I'm so excited! I still have to do all my packing, but I need to do laundry before that even! So tomorrow I will spend the afternoon cleaning my room and doing laundry. Plus getting a haircut (hopefully).

But yeah, I'm excited, happy, and ready for whatever may happen. I know the Lord will make a way.

God Bless,

Jonathan Leroyce Bass

Less than 8 days, oh and homemade ice cream

Yummm! homemade ice cream and hot fudge! good is a horrible word to describe it. Great doesn't come close to it. It's beyond amazing, it's fanfreakingtastic!

hahaha I just remembered that geico commercial with the drill sergeant as a therapist! Oh man that one makes me and my father crack up everytime! My father is a retired marine, so it's extra funny to him. But I just think the concept is hilarious.

It's less than 8 days until my choir leaves for South Africa! It's going to be phenomenal! 13 days with my friends and great music, plus a safari as well as surfing at muzinberg beach! This is the highlight of my summer...my year (yes even more than turning 21)...and maybe even my life.

But I still wanna become a Pokemon trainer.

Tired, but necessity dictates posting

I'm going to bed soon, so this will be fast.

I wish I could live in the world of pokemon. It would be so awesome to become a trainer and live life that way, instead of this world we live in. There doesn't seem to be anything interesting left in this world, nothing new, nothing profound; and it's saddening yes, but theres nothing I can do to change it. All i can hope for is that something changes.

Hmmmm, I'm not sure what to write about. (My gf told me to start writing) but anyways, as NCIS is on in the background; and facebook open in another tab; Saturday is almost over, and it was an eventful Saturday.

I went to my coaches clinic and certification for JAAF (Junior All American Football). I got certified as a coach for Norco JAAF. WooHoo! I am the Defensive coordinator for the Norco Lions. It's going to be awesome, I get to make my own defensive playbook, with my own calls, stunts, blitz's, and formations.

We went to breakfast at this place called THE FARMHOUSE RESTAURANT out in Banning CA before the clinic. It was amazing! I had Manchaca and eggs...soooooo good, but I was slightly disappointed that I wasn't able to finish it, but I couldn't bring it with me because of how hot it was.

After the clinic I came home and sat around waiting for my gf to come over so we could go shopping for dinner. We made dinner for ourselves and my parents; then we enjoyed the spa. Today was a good day.

football

I created my fantasy football league today, it should be great; then I participated in a mock draft. I believe I did fairly well; picked up Zach Miller; the tight end from Oakland. I believe he's a good sleeper pick, so if you're working on a draft, think about him. I'd also look at Kevin Kolb, he's getting a lot of attention from the whole McNabb trade, and even though he's not a true 'sleeper' he's a very interesting pick because of his experience (or lack there of) and style of play. Defenses should be looked at carefully; I ended up with the Dallas defense. I was lucky to snag them with my 2nd to last pick. Also look for the 49er's defense to rock. Expect the 'good' defenses from last year to go down though, age is a major factor this year.

"Few men are willing to brave the disapproval of their fellows, the censure of their colleagues, the wrath of their society. Moral courage is a rarer commodity than bravery in battle or great intelligence. Yet it is the one essential, vital quality for those who seek to change a world which yields most painfully to change." Robert F. Kennedy

forgiveness: more than saying sorry

I must apologize, I was too tired and needed to be up too early, so I did not post last night, and that is my fault.

I'm still not certain if this is even worth it...I have to admit, I'm fairly certain only 5 people at most have read this blog. Which is disappointing, but I must remember that I'm not writing this blog for you the reader. I'm writing it for myself..."but then why post it online?" you may ask. Well because even if it is written for myself, maybe, just maybe one of you will take something valuable from it.

So I jammed with my band today. It was awesome, we wrote a new song, played some pool, ate some hotdogs, talked about some freaky new doctrine going around in the modern church; so it was a lot of fun.

Apparently this new doctrine is started by a man named John Crowder...I'm not certain if he's drunk, or what...but he's strange to say the least. It's called the Ecstasy of God. I understand being ecstatic in God, that's called for. But what this man is talking about...what he preaches...is not right. Not right by any standard of the imagination.

That's all I wanna say about that.

Happy Birthday Leanna!

Today is my friend Leanna Chuck...Ckuckh...Chickis...Leanna 7, that's my last name for her because I can't spell hers. So happy birthday Leanna, you're a great friend and an amazing confidant. God has blessed you with an amazing heart and a great sense of humor. You're intelligent, inspiring, 19, beautiful, hilarious, wacky, honest, and loyal person. I trust you with all my secrets and we've had some awesome times as friend (remember you still owe me...sardines at my house ring a bell?) hehehe, but anyways, you're great and I wanted you to know that, even if you don't read this.

I would give you one piece of advice...Staying faithful to God is more than just an act...it's a lifestyle, and it's a lifestyle that has become popular within the faith, but with it becoming popular, it became tainted, so I would encourage you to test yourself (not God) but yourself, test your faith. And most of all, put your HOPE in God, because I know you could spout off all the verses that deal with God doing awesome things, but sometimes we just need to be reminded. I love you very much, and can't wait to be your friend for another year.

God Bless,
